Warrington area is currently Level 2 (High).  In summary, this means:

  • Mixing of households indoors not allowed
  • Two households can meet in a private garden – rule of six and social distancing rules apply
  • Pubs and restaurants remain open, but no mixing of households inside and 10pm curfew

For the latest information affecting our area please visit Warrington Borough Council.

Here’s a quick reminder of the restrictions that currently apply to residents living in the Borough of Warrington:

You must not (unless they’re in your household support or childcare bubble):

  • host people you do not live with in your home or garden
  • meet people you do not live with in their home or garden, whether inside or outside the affected local areas
  • meet with people who you do not live with in indoor settings, whether inside or outside of the affected local areas (COVID-secure schools and workplaces do not apply).

A household support bubble is where a household with one adult joins with another household (on an exclusive basis). Households within a bubble can still visit each other, stay overnight, and visit public places together.

A childcare bubble is where someone in one household can provide informal (i.e. unpaid and unregistered) childcare to a child aged 13 or under in another household. This must occur on an exclusive basis – always the same two households.

The police will be able to take action against those who break these rules, including asking people to disperse and issuing fixed penalty notices for those who participate in illegal gatherings.

The rules and guidance are constantly being reviewed.  Please keep a check on the Warrington Borough Council Website for the latest updates and advice.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual international health campaign organised by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise fund for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis – and cure.  The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

When the Government announced nationwide lock-down measures on 23rd March, we had the idea to create a radio streaming service to keep our fellow neighbours entertained, supported and informed through the uncertain times and lockdown that lay ahead.

We originally planned to run the service for three months – but the response from our listeners was overwhelming, leading us to develop a full-scale community radio station for Lymm and South Warrington.

Lymm Radio is officially a Not For Profit Social Enterprise run entirely by volunteers.  We can only survive through grant funding, advertising / sponsorship – and with the kind support of our wonderful listeners and the community.  YOU CAN MAKE YOUR DONATION HERE.  Your donation, no matter how small will be truly appreciated by our entire team and will go a long way to help secure our future.

You can also financially support Lymm Radio when you do your everyday shopping – and it won’t cost you an extra penny!  Simply click on the link below, sign up with the
Easy Fundraising Website and do your online shopping as you normally would.  The retailer will then pay us a small commission every time you make a purchase!

It takes 20 seconds to sign up and to download the “donation reminder” app for your phone or internet browser.  No credit card is required. When you visit a participating retailers website, the app will show a popup – please click on this to activate your donation for us to receive a commission and that’s it!  You still make your purchases directly with the retailer (not with Easy Fundraising) – and it won’t cost you anything extra!  Sign up by clicking the image below or visit our Friends Page to find out more.

Thank you so much for helping us x
