As an introduction to Mental Health Awareness Week 2021, Juliet talks about Oxytocin - a "happy hormone" that is known to have a positive effect on mood and emotions.

Oxytocin has the power to regulate our emotional responses and pro-social behaviors, including trust, empathy, gazing, positive memories, processing of bonding cues, and positive communication.

Release Oxytocin naturally by connecting with nature - and you will feel better!  Listen to Juliet's presentation on Oxytocin right here.

Juliet has also provided a FREE meditation session that can help with your mental health and wellbeing.  Download it below and enjoy in your own time.

Juliet has very kindly put together a wondeful 10 minute meditation session which will help you to relax and connect with nature.  Set some time just for yourself and find a quiet place where you won't be disturbed.  Turn off your mobile.  Sit or lie back and enjoy your meditation session.  Remember, practice makes perfect!

Christian Aid works constantly to fight injustice, respond to humanitarian emergencies, campaign for change, and help people worldwide claim the services and rights they are entitled to.

Every year, a special week is designated to raise funds and awareness.  Christian Aid week this year runs from 10th to 16th May with a focus on climate crisis.

Look out for an envelope arriving through your door.  If you are able to help Christian Aid fight poverty and injustice, please consider making a donation.

Envelopes can be dropped off at The Sanctuary Cafe (beside Lymm Library), Thursday to Sunday and at Lymm Baptist Church (Higher Lane), Monday to Friday.

You can also donate via Just Giving at the Lymm Churches Together page.

Every envelope. Every gift. Every challenge can change lives.

Most people feel stressed from time to time.  Some people find stress helpful or even motivating. But if stress is affecting your life, there are things you can try that may help.

It's not always easy to recognise when stress is the reason you're feeling or acting differently.  If you are not sure how you are feeling, a great starting point is to try the NHS Mood Self-Assessment.
