WELCOME TO LYMM RADIO
When the Government announced nationwide lock-down measures on 23rd March 2020, we had the idea to create a radio streaming service to keep our fellow neighbours entertained, supported and informed through the uncertain times and lockdown that lay ahead.
We originally planned to run the service for three months – but the response from our listeners was overwhelming, leading us to develop a full-scale community radio station for Lymm and South Warrington.

Boris Johnson has announced a roadmap for easing Covid restrictions in England. After the first stage in March, further lifting of restrictions will happen if certain conditions are met. Each stage will be a minimum of five weeks apart - and four conditions must be met at each stage before proceeding to the next one.
The four conditions are:
- The coronavirus vaccine programme continues to go to plan
- Vaccines are sufficiently reducing the number of people dying with the virus or needing hospital treatment
- Infection rates do not risk a surge in hospital admissions
- New coronavirus variants do not fundamentally change the risk of lifting restrictions
Here is the timetable, in summary:
8th March: Stay at home remains in place, but Schools will reopen. One person can meet another and socialise outdoors. Care home residents will be allowed one regular visitor.
29th March: You should stay local and still work from home if possible. Rule of 6 is re-introduced. Outdoor sports are permitted. No overseas travel, but travel outside local area is allowed.
12th April: Non-essential retail, personal care and gyms can open. Self contained holiday accommodation can open. Pubs and restaurants can open, but for outside areas only. Scotch egg and curfew restrictions will not apply.
17th May: Rule of 6 will be dropped outside. Two households (6 people) can meet indoors. Indoor hospitality and hotels can reopen.
21st June: All legal limits on social contacts will be relaxed. Restrictions on outdoor events will be relaxed.
This roadmap applies to England only and is subject to constant review. We'll keep you updated right here on Lymm Radio!

SIGNS OF A STROKE - ACT FAST
Stroke strikes every five minutes in the UK. It can happen to anyone, of any age, at any time. It's vital to know how to spot the warning signs of a stroke in yourself or someone else. Using the FAST test is the best way to do this.
- Face: Can the person smile? Has their face fallen on one side?
- Arms: Can the person raise both arms and keep them there?
- Speech problems: Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say? Is their speech slurred?
- Time: If you see any of these three signs, it's time to call 999.
