Missing person James Miller from Warrington

James Miller went missing from Slater Street in Latchford at around 11pm on Tuesday 22nd December – three days before Christmas.  In a renewed appeal, James’ family are again asking people if they can kindly check sheds and outbuildings and to contact them, or Cheshire Police if they can offer any information.

James is 38 and has bright blue eyes and brown hair which is short at the sides and longer on top.  He is 5ft 8 and of medium build.  At the time, he was wearing a white tee shirt (possibly an England shirt), grey jogging bottoms and blue trainers.  He may have been wearing a Warrington Wolves face mask and is believed to have been on foot.

Think back to three nights before Christmas.  Were you driving or walking past Victoria Park, near the hand car wash – or anywhere along Knutsford Road between Latchford and Warrington – or Grappenhall late in the evening?  Did you perhaps spot someone and think that they were wearing sports clothing when it was a cold evening?

Please keep a look out.  If you have any information, please contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting reference: 880492.

We will be broadcasting appeals on Lymm Radio.  In the meantime, you can also follow the FACEBOOK APPEAL PAGE which has been set up by the family for the latest information.

James, if you see this please get in touch.  If you want some time to yourself, that’s fine – but just let someone know that you are OK.  Your family are so worried about you.

Mass vaccination sites have been set up to offer more options for people to receive their Covid Vaccine.  If you don’t want to attend one of these sites, you don’t have to.

If you want to have your vaccination in Warrington, wait for your GP surgery to contact you directly (& disregard any letter you receive that is from NHS England- these are sent out centrally and nothing to do with your GP surgery).

You will still be able to get vaccinated from your local GP-led service.  Find out more HERE.

When the Government announced nationwide lock-down measures on 23rd March, we had the idea to create a radio streaming service to keep our fellow neighbours entertained, supported and informed through the uncertain times and lockdown that lay ahead.

We originally planned to run the service for three months – but the response from our listeners was overwhelming, leading us to develop a full-scale community radio station for Lymm and South Warrington.

Lymm Radio is a Not For Profit Social Enterprise run entirely by volunteers.  We can only survive through grant funding, advertising / sponsorship – and with the kind support of our wonderful listeners and the community.

We are delighted that the Co-operative Community Fund has chosen to support Lymm Radio – and we are now a local cause that you can select if you are a member.  Join the Co-op for £1 – and when you buy selected products and services at Cherry Lane or Heatley Mere – or online, you earn rewards and so do we!  You can sign-up in store – or by creating an online account at this link:  Become a member

You can also financially support Lymm Radio when you do your everyday shopping – and it won’t cost you an extra penny!  Simply click on the link below, sign up with the
Easy Fundraising Website and do your online shopping as you normally would.  The retailer will then pay us a small commission every time you make a purchase!

It takes 20 seconds to sign up and to download the “donation reminder” app for your phone or internet browser.  No credit card is required. When you visit a participating retailers website, the app will show a popup – please click on this to activate your donation for us to receive a commission and that’s it!  You still make your purchases directly with the retailer (not with Easy Fundraising) – and it won’t cost you anything extra!  Sign up by clicking the image below or visit our Friends Page to find out more.

Don’t forget, you can also make a donation to Lymm Radio by credit or debit card on our Drunken Duck Page – YOU CAN MAKE A DONATION HERE.  Your donation, no matter how small will be truly appreciated by our entire team and will go a long way to help secure our future.

Thank you so much for helping us x
