Alan Williams Historic Lymm in Colour

It’s always a pleasure to welcome Alan Williams from Lymm Heritage Centre to our studio.  His latest visit was to talk about his new book, produced in collaboration with local photographer, Alan Taylor – “Historic Lymm in Colour”.

This beautiful coffee table book features around 300 historic images of Lymm, enhanced in colour from original black and white photographs.  It truly is a wonderful work of art.  Much time has been spent on meticulously restoring and colouring the orginal photos.  The result is stunning, with many people finding it hard to believe that they are looking at a picture that was taken 120 years ago.

Historic Lymm in Colour is now available as a limited-edition hardback for £25 and paperback £15 from Lymm Heritage Centre and at various locations throughout the village.
