The Co-op Community Fund opens for applications once a year. The funding aims to help communities to come together, co-operate and have a positive impact on community wellbeing – physically and virtually.

To be eligible, projects must address at least one of the following:

  • Bring the community together to help those in need, providing access to life’s essentials such as community spaces, food and bereavement support.

  • Support the mental and physical health of others through community wellbeing activities.

  • Enable people to develop or share their skills to foster community spirit and build resilient communities for the future.

Currently in Lymm you can choose to support Lymm Heritage Centre, Lymm Concert Band – or Lymm Radio!  Thank you so much to all of you who are supporting us.  So far you have raised over £1100 for us which is greatly helping with our operational costs.  The current funding period finishes on 24th October 2021.

If you are a local organisation, club or not-for-profit business you can now apply to be included in the next round of funding.  The application process is very simple – but you must have your application in before the end of May.  To find out more click here.

SOPHIE GREEN the Co-op Member Pioneer Co-ordinator for Northwich, Halton and Warrington was Smithy’s special guest on the morning show this week.  You can listen again right here.

There’s still time to pledge your support to Lymm Radio…. just become a Co-op member for £1 and everytime you shop, you get a cash benefit – and so do we!
