page title icon PATH STONES STOLLEN FROM ST MARY’S CHURCH LYMM

At around 10.25 last night (Monday 16th August) thieves took York stone paving slabs from St Mary’s Lymm pathway.

This is the second time stones have been stollen in just over a year. If you have seen anything, please inform Cheshire Police (call 101) incident number is 1063118. This is extremely distressing to the parishioners and to the general community. Warrington Borough Council are responsible for repairing the path and have been informed.

Reverend Beverley Jameson Rector St Mary the Virgin Lymm said ” Some of our elderly congregation will struggle to get along the path to the church, funeral directors will have difficulties transporting coffins and my heart goes out to the poor bride trying to walk up the path for her wedding in early September. Please tell the police if you know anything.”
